And needless to say these out of state drivers have no respect for the "rules of the road" thats why they lost their license in the first place.

90 percent of the out of state plates are suspended drivers in their home state and uninsured...so leave your A rig at home til this OIL/FLOOD boom is over, and they fix the POTHOLES ! ! !

Need to be a defensive driver at all times--esp. on BDWY--timing lights are really a problem--not synchronized and left turns not protected on some key intersections like 16th Ave. SW---Remember ND --two seasons winter and road construction. We're still in winter!!

Never have I seen so few people driving so very poorly. Every time a blinker gets used is cause for celebration. I don't know if it's due to the inordinate number of elderly drivers or the preponderance of very large vehicles, but Minot's roads give me ulcers.

In all honesty, I don't think the traffic is any worse now than it was a 10 years ago. The potholes are the only reason I don't feel safe.

If you choose the right roads to drive on.

Maybe some drivers are out of line here and there, but as for safe, the streets themselves are definitely a safety issue, not the drivers.

Stay away from 6th St. and Burdick SW, too many potholes. Stay off of Central Avenue. The same goes for 11th Ave NW too. In fact, there are so many potholes in the streets and avenues, it is best to stay off of the streets until you can find those that you can drive on.

So, you pick and choose by process of elimination.

Be careful, don't drive on Minot's streets.

NO, especially at night. One night I had a green light, but someone from the RED light turned in front of me, so I honked. BIG mistake! Then he only drove 10 mph in front of me and then slammed on the brakes, hoping I would hit him. Then proceeded to drive very slow...wanting me to pass him...no way...I kept him in front of me...damn drunk...I am assuming?

The police should be enforcing these out of state people to get a North Dakota drivers license.

I feel safe as far as being confident that I will not be at fault in an accident. I however probably encounter a situation where I could be in an accident probably on a daily basis. Part of the problem is all the idiots that don't know how to follow the speed limit, don't know how to use blinkers when turning and switching lanes. Not to mention the ones that will turn into the wrong lane, you are suppose to turn into YOUR LANE. I almost was ran off the road on North Broadway last summer when some idiot from Florida though he would turn into the outside lane when i was on the other side of the road turning into the same lane. That is the whole reason there are 2 lanes and turning lanes.

I say no but it really doesn't have to do with the drivers as much as the potholes at this point. Defensive driving usually keeps you safe unless you get hit by a drunk driver like I did a couple months ago. It's hard to know where the pot holes are and how deep they are. It's bad this year.

The answer is no, but it is not all the out of state people! The local people are some of the worst, they all think they are still driving in 1950, and are the only people on the road!
