Do you think the state's new anti-abortion laws will help or hurt N.D.'s image around the country?

  1. Help
  2. Hurt
  3. Neutral
  4. Image is irrelevant

if not allowing people to kill the unborn means it might 'hurt' our image, so what ? if image means more than the life of a child, we're in big trouble.

we look like a third world country where women don't count and religious zealots rule. Kind of like Iran, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, because that is exactly what we are. Women make a whopping $.62 of the dollar men make. The people in charge of our government sneer at women when they try to get involved. They are lobbied by big oil, with little or no regard for what happens to our enviroment and the poor to middle class in our state. This attitude is held by nearly all the men in state government.

if the folks who are so fervently anti-choice cared even half as much for the born as for the fetus we would be better off.

I think the Governor did this to shoot North Dakota into the national news. Measure 8 in California trumped him. Bad move. Proves that news agencies care more about gay rights than women's rights.

socialisms**** has it right.

Now to read what lefties REALLY think, about both SCOTUS/Prop. 8 and ND's abortion bills, go to twitchy . com. Fair warning: definitely NOT G-rated language.

The legislature is directed to set money aside to defend the unconstitutional move by the Republicans. But, it is not their money so who cares. Same as with joining the Health care lawsuit. well, no income tax breaks for ND this year or next. Give it to the lawyers.. Good move Republicans.

Now that this law has passed, the next one that is needed that every male who applies for a prescription for ED medication needs to be seen every week for a year by a psychiatrist before their primary care doctor can issue the prescription. What's good the goose is good for the gander.

This is going to kill grown women but the GOP doesn't care about that. They care more about a non-viable fetus. Keys, wait till this gets to the SCOTUS and watch how the new will be all over it. The whole world will be watching us get female dog slapped right back to this abomination of a state.

So let me get this straight, you were all for the "choice" being taken out of the equation when it came to smoking in bars, you are all about choice being removed when it comes to gun control. But for some reason, now you WANT choice when it comes to this? As was stated before, what is good for the goose...

I'm pro-choice. I choose not to get an abortion. But that's the "wrong" choice, to certain people.

Glad I didn't vote for the knuckle-dragging Neanderthal.

Jack doesn't know Jack.

He has hurt his image more than he has North Dakota's.

The damage is done.

If a woman wants an abortion, it is entirely her business, not the state's. There should be no laws regarding abortion.

You can't legislate morality.

This year's crop of legislators is a group to loathe.

"You can't legislate morality."

So if somebody stealing my pumpkins has been determined by the legislature to be a crime, and can be prosecuted as such, they have legislated morality. "Thou shalt not steal" or the Hammurabi Code's version of "don't steal your fellow man's stuff" if Bible language offends you.

That phrase sounds so enlightened, but really...

I don't know about pumpkins being stolen from the pumpkin patch, not a big deal if you help yourself to one. You can have one.

Out there in North Dakota's Oil Patch, oil is being stolen from North Dakotans by the hundreds of thousands of barrels each day and that's ok with Jack. Not a problem, help yourselves, says Jack.

Jack has damaged his image and the governor's office to the extent that I will never refer to him as the governor ever again. He can clean out his desk, turn in his keys and be gone. The same goes for the idiot who calls himself the lieutenant governor. They are derelict in their duties and are blinded by dogma. They're not state leaders, they're not even men, they're meek mice who roll over for the oil companies. They need to leave office immediately.

They can get in their cars and drive out of North Dakota and never come back.

(Gay marriage proponents) don't really care about (traditional marriage) - much less (the procreation aspect of marriage) - - they just like to be the bosses of everyone. . . it's important to them that everyone believe the way they do. Kinda sleazy.

Apologies for the edit, billgrr.

I wonder if people in PA are worrying about their image these days.

Kermit Gosnell, the "house of horrors" abortionist of Philadelphia, is currently on trial for his practices.

I don't play favorites. I dislike and detest Republicans just as much as I do Democrats. Neither one deserves to be in any government position.

I believe it is working in my favor. They are working on it. Just like the lies they told that we can keep our doctors and our premiums won't go up. Just like they thought people would hire to beet heck, when companies were forced to buy expensive health Obama care, and now working on putting Abortions in Obama care so they can force us to help pay for something we don't really believe in. Well at least I don't have to support any more employees, and that certainly was the correct call.

Obamacare will allow for abortions and sex rearrangement surgery, so the ND law will be struck down when Obamacare becomes the law of the land.

However, Obamacare is not going to see the light of day, so it is all academic and moot.

North Dakota will lose billions if sued.

Should have left well enough alone, but Jack is much too ignorant to even think.

Obama wants to control of guns, Jumpin' Jack Flash wants control of a woman's body.

There is no difference between Obama and Master Jack. They both want control in one way or the other.
