if he does, then the old joke about the sign at the border crossing will be true. "welcome to north dakota. please turn your watch back 100 years."

I can't believe these "knuckle-draggers" are actually representing us...Birth control will be next..just you wait!! While they are so busy cutting funding for the poor, (Milk program for needy kids, Pre-K funding, STEAM education)because the state can't "afford" it...why then are they giving tax breaks to the oil and gas...because they have "suffered" for long enough??!! REALLY!!! Makes me wanna VOMIT!!!

The conservatives are moaning and complaining about the "entitlements". Force women to have kids they don't want and can't afford and see the effects of slashing public programs. It won't be pretty. Back alley abortions, here we come.

Millions in ND taxpayer dollars will be wasted in court over this law. And ND will lose.

He should definitely sign this bill into law. Everyone deserves a chance to grow up. This isn't a political issue, a religious issue, or a women's rights issue. This is a moral issue. Abortion based on genetic defects and gender is just plain immoral and wrong. Also icart68, I think you need to look for the whole story regarding what our state Congress has supposedly cut. There is more to the story than what you said, particularly the milk story.

I don't want my tax dollars paying for women's abortions. Go to another state. It's not my fault most of them use this as birth control, since they won't take responsibility for their own actions.

If the Legislators are voting in response and according to what the people in his/her district wants then the Gov. should follow along. Is this something that should be voted on by we the people before he signs?

but it's ok if our tax dollars pay for cleaning up after drunk drivers that kill innocent families? to pay for morons that kill themselves by not wearing seatbelts? those are "personal choices." and abortion is NOT a personal choice? please explain the difference.

If a drunk driver gets behind a wheel and kills someone, they loose their freedom. It cost them money, time behind bars, at their expense. If some moron, gets behind a wheel and does not buckle up and kills themself, well don't have to worry about that moron anymore.

icart, how many glasses of milk and or juice does a child need by lunchtime? You do realize that the democrat got up and apol0gized for using the milk issue to raise money for their coffers, right? No milk was taken away or prevented from being given to the school kids.

I think I did, Minot. What are the consequences of getting an abortion with tax dollars of a woman who uses abortion as birth control. How many abortions should we pay for one woman.

waddleman- What about rape? What about incest? What about the times the ****** breaks or the pill doesn't work? You are right, though. I think women should "keep her lockbox closed up tight". Cuz it's always the women's fault.

"Cuz it's always the women's fault."

I disagree with this. When we were teenagers, there was some blunt advice going around for the guys too: keep your zipper zipped.

roxie, of course, it is not always the woman's 'fault, but if women are demanding control over their own bodies, than we should include not only post sex behvior, but also behavior prior to and up to the moment of sex.

I suspect if we put this issue to a public vote nationwide Anti-Abortion proponents would win 60-40.

I suspect if we put another issue to a public vote nationwide Assault-Weapons Ban it would win 65-35.

I suspect if we put yet another issue of getting our national debt under control it would pass 90-10.

Lastly, if we asked Congress to do their job a non-surprising number of 100% would be the result.

Too bad these issues don't seem to be up to us.

Minot, by all means get pregnant as many times as you want to. And get as many abortions as you want to. Who cares? I just don't want to pay for it. Go goofy. Pay for your very own life decisions.
