To early to predict with any certainty except it being Obamas fault. Mother Nature with its increasing extremes can raise havoc in a hurry. For those living in fear of another flood --my suggestion would be to move out of state-

We have had way more snow than this some years and never flooded. Canada should have been releasing water this whole time. I'm sure they are saving it up like usual.

From the reports I've heard so far they are saying it was dry before freeze up, we had over 2.5 inches of moisture last fall and the ground froze before it leeched it's way to the bottoms. If we have a fast thaw on frozen ground it will flood.

The snow is piling up little by little.

I remember in 1980 in mid to late April it snowed 22 inches in under 24 hours.

We still have March and April to accumulate more snow and it usually snows during those months, so there is a threat of flooding, probably minor at this time. If the dams up north receive 20 inches of rain in 30 days, it'll probably flood again. Can't forget about those dams, they hold plenty of water and it all runs through Minot. Can't trust those dams to do any kind of a job to prevent flooding, that doesn't seem to work that well.

Plenty of water out there still in the potholes and creeks, so it is a real possibility.
