Thanks for doing your homework Ronita, but you forgot to mention President Obama is NOT looking to ban all guns. That is just another lie from the right wing lie machine.
Do you people ever deal in honesty?

Some people never do anything but criticize and tear down others, which is what their father Satan does. The name “Satan” means “accuser.” In fact, that's all Satan does when he's not destroying people's lives, he criticizes God's children day-and-night. Revelation 12:10

Since I'm not personal friends with gang members, or at least I don't think I am, I wouldn't have the slightest idea where they would get "250K guns" in 9 years.
I could speculate, but I think I'll leave that activity to you, JayBird.
Yeah, those gang members, acting just like the Jets and Sharks in West Side Story, right?
Like it or not, "the one who skins mules" made a great point.
There are 1 million gang members in the US, estimated in 2009. In 2000, there were 750 thousand.
I suppose they'll all register their guns. They'll all agree to not commit crimes.
Gun control will result in more crime and murder. A 100 percent guarantee.

Do you think a high-powered rifle to hunt game will pierce body armor?
Well, they do. You might have to surrender your high-powered rifle that you use for hunting.
Hasn't the ever increasing amount of gov continually creeping into your life caused more fear and therefore, it has made people fearful? That is why gun sales have been increasing.
Gov tyranny is to blame for this and will have to be held accountable.
Any attempt to confiscate the very thing that offers protection for people will end up in civil war.
People are prepared and the reason is because the gov has become increasingly meddlesome. The people have had enough. If you think the sentiment is any different, you're wrong.

Now if band of nuts collaborate in a mass killing on DC, or somewhere affleunt, they may get the attention of Congress, but it will take more than a Newtown to stop corporate america.
Both parties will give this lip service, but their not gonna disrupt corporate americas ability to turn a profit off gun and ammo sales...lives are cheap and thats the "bottom line".
Lets face it..this whole argument is about money...corporate americas right to sell as many guns and ammo as possible...they don't give a*****anything else.

Well...maybe game and fish should regulate the hunting of people that has become so popular with assault rifles...5-10 rounds per weapon...give the victims as good a chance as a duck or deer.

PJ's quote by Boehner is interesting.
So the "only" things preventing the President from fully implementing the vision he spoke of at the Inauguration are the Republican members of the House of Representatives?
Hold on to your faux fur-lined caps, guys & gals. The air in that chamber just got chillier.
And how does that make all the progressives feel? Like they might have to "reach across the aisle" or "work with" people that don't fall in lockstep with their point of view?
Yeah, I know. "Republican" is a dirty, 10-letter word. So is "compromise," isn't it?
There was no "war against women" waged by Republicans.
Democrat talking point, that's all.
I'm going to have to agree with the spirit of rajiihammr,s post, that the wording of this question and the way in which a majority of people have responded highlights a troubling misunderstanding of the current debate on guns in America. This sort of unequivocal all-or-nothing outlook is not what it's all about, nor should it be. It detracts from the task of having an informed discussion, and makes finding some sort of common ground next to impossible.

"The Prsesident was in the war against women and won..."
I just took another look at this sentence, and it's possible, leftwing, that you might not have meant to say it this way.
Pres. Obama won...against women?
"The Prsesident was in the war against women and won,he was in the war against gays and won.He was in the war with the top 2 percent and won.He was in the war for affordable health care and won."
Well, these "wins" are in the eye of the beholder obviously.
Whoa. I'd forgotten about Ted Nugent's draft board antics. He IS a bad person. The Limpman had a legitimate boil though.
President Barack Obama is biased against Republicans, says Fox News commentator Bill O’Reilly.
“It's pretty clear that he doesn't like them because he feels that they are the purveyors of white privilege,” O’Reilly said during an interview with Washington Post editor Bob Woodward on "The O’Reilly Factor" show.
“He's never going to say that, but that's the theme that runs through his advisers: the white privilege has to be broken down.”
Woodward disagreed, saying, “I just think he doesn’t agree with Republicans on their agenda. He’s hurting his own cause.”
But O’Reilly didn’t give up. “The Republican agenda, in the president's mind, props up white privilege,” he said. “Therefore, as the social justice champion, he has to tear that down. He doesn't like the white privilege thing, and he doesn't like the Republicans trying to defend it. That's the seed.”
Looks like persistent bigotry to me. Both on MDN and Olddog.
The Obama brown shirts, the useful idiots, are out in force today.
The brainwashed fools not only voted for Obama, without any hesitation, in addition, they continue to be brainwashed fools.
You don't see Obama standing outside in the Rose Garden smoking one of his cigarettes do you? He can have a smoke anywhere he wants, and I'll bet the entire US debt he has had a cigarette in the Oval Office while conducting his business of making sure the billionaires are first in line each day.
Make no mistake about it, it is a tough job to sell a bill of goods every day to the Great Unwashed and hope they continue to swallow the bait, hook, line and sinker. They still do. They're brainwashed and that's why they do.

Thanks for the Ted Nugent quote PJ ! Ted is one first class nutball. I wonder how many disagree with the posting, but agree with the quote. By the way, shouldn't Ted be dead or in jail? That's Ted, not Rajii. Though....
