Brian David Green, 46, Minot, died Saturday, July 26, 2014, in a Minot hospital from an asthma attack.

Brian was born on Feb. 23, 1968, to William and Christine (Marshall) Green in Minot. Throughout high school Brian enjoyed football and track. He graduated from Minot High School with highest honors in 1986.

After high school, Brian started working for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in Lakota. While he was living in Lakota his son, Brock, was born in 1997. In 1998, Brian returned to Minot and began employment with the Minot Post Office where he established many friendships. In 2014, Brian was the recipient of the Eagle Award from the Minot Chamber of Commerce.

The things Brian enjoyed in life were taking Brock and his friends to the UND Sioux Hockey games and coaching their baseball and football teams, watching the Steelers football, polishing his Chevy, Friday night fires in the firepit, and hanging out with his many friends. Most of all, Brian lived each and every day of his life for his son, Brock, who was his pride and joy.

Brian's loving family includes: his son, Brock; mother, Chris Green of Cheyenne, Wyo.; brother, Brad (Tracy) Green of Minot; sister, Wendy (Bob) Bails of Cheyenne; uncle, Wayne (Audrey) Marshall of Minot; aunt, Pam (Jeff) Sedler of Mayville; nieces, Madisyn Bails and Gabrielle Green; and his special friend for many years, Renae Knaus and her daughter, Nikita and granddaughter, "Princess" Letitia.

Brian was preceded in death by: his father, Bill, and his grandparents.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, July 30, at 11 a.m. in First Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Today, Tuesday, July 29, from 2 to 6 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
