Minot Daily News

Sharon Yuly, 61, Minot, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, in a Bismarck hospital.

Sharon was born in Minot on July 12, 1952, the second of twin daughters, to Arlene Clone, Minot, and Edward Dionne, of Belcourt. Sharon was raised in Minot and remained there for the majority of her life. Growing up as the twins, Sharon and Sheila, she attended elementary, middle and high school in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in the spring of 1970.

Throughout her working career Sharon worked at many convenience stores in the Minot area, but Sharon and her sister were most remembered as the pretty, long-haired twins, who served takeout meals at the A & W Drive In on South Broadway. Her most recent employment was as a support staff member at the Minot Vocational Adjustment Workshop.

Sharon married Curtis Yuly, of Minot, on June 15, 1985, at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Minot. With the exception of a short few years in the Seattle area, Sharon and Curtis have called Minot "home."

Sharon had several debilitating diseases for the past several years causing many hospital stays.

Sharon was an avid bowler, loved animals and enjoyed fishing in her younger years. She also was a fan of the Minnesota Twins and watched their games with Curtis whenever she got the chance.

Sharon's loving family includes: husband, Curtis; twin sister, Sheila Blessum, Minot; niece, Mindy (Michael) Zepeda and family, Minot; and nephew, Mike (Cherie) Blessum and family, Minot.

Sharon was preceded in death by: her mother, Arlene Sauceda; brother, Robert Dionne; and stepfather, Sato Ciprianco Sauceda.

Booksigning: Thursday, July 10, from 2 to 7 p.m., at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
