Sons of Norway, Thor Lodge, will be hosting its spring bake sale/luncheon/grandma's attic and book sale on Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Scandinavian Heritage Center, 1020 S. Broadway. Baked items will be available for purchase, as well as barbecue sandwiches, knoephla soup, and a pie and ice cream social.
The Minot Pizza Ranch will host a fundraiser for the Minot Piano Teachers organization on Monday, April 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. to raise funds for the "Monster Concert" and provide piano scholarships to the International Music Camp. Piano students, parents and teachers will be at Pizza Ranch bussing tables. Fliers will be available at the door to be given to the cashier when paying in order to benefit the fund.
Minot Cub Scouts in Pack 404, which represents Perkett and South Prairie schools, will be holding a Scouting for Food Fill the Trailer event from April 20-24. Boys will be collecting food all week from their families and friends, and on Thursday will break into teams and canvass the neighborhood and collect food. A trailer will be parked outside of Perkett School, and the goal is to fill the entire trailer with food for those in need. A Friday celebration at Perkett will he held, with ice cream for all of the grades.
