Susan (Brey) Witter, 56, Minot, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, in a Minot hospital.

Susan was born Feb. 14, 1958, in Minot, to Richard and Maryesther (Huber) Brey. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1976.

On June 17, 2006, Susan was united in marriage to Jeff Witter at Roosevelt Park in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where Susan cared for her mother until her mother's death in 2010. In her working years she cared for autistic children and the elderly through various organizations for a number of years. Susan was a beautiful, wonderful and caring person, always willing to lend a helping hand.

Susan especially enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking and collecting Betty Boop, Three Stooges and Elvis Presley memorabilia. Susan leaves behind many friends and acquaintances as she was always concerned about everyone else before herself. She will be deeply missed by all who shared in her life.

Susan's loving family includes: husband, Jeff Witter, Minot; stepdaughter, Crystal Witter, Boston; sister, Julie (Greg) DeSaye, Lansford; brother, James Brey, Orlando, Fla.; stepmother, Clarice Brey, Minot; father-in-law, David Witter, Minot; sister-in-law, Merry (Tony) Theilen, Burlington; brothers-in-law, Scott (Julie) Witter, Burlington, and Greg (Tracy) Witter, Saskatoon, Sask.; numerous nieces and nephews including nephew, Greg Jr. (Cara) DeSaye, Bismarck; and great-nieces and great-nephews including great-nephew, Max Fisher DeSaye, Bismarck.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Funeral service: Friday, March 7, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Visitation: Friday, one hour prior to the service, in the funeral home.
