BISMARCK (AP) - A recently retired state Department of Transportation official will serve as part-time liaison for transportation infrastructure development in the oil patch.
Dave Leftwich was appointed by Gov. Jack Dalrymple last week to serve as a liaison for western North Dakota road development.
Leftwich retired in November from the state DOT after 39 years of service.
State Department of Transportation Director Grant Levi says having someone with Leftwich's expertise in communicating with local leaders will help the process of infrastructure build out as the state continues to experience growth.
