Delores M. Ehlke, 78, of Fargo, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo.
Delores (Bean) Ehlke was born in a farmhouse outside Lansford to Art and Edith (Golder) Bean on Sept. 10, 1935. She attended grade school and graduated from Glenburn High School.
Delores married Floyd Ehlke in 1953. Delores had lived in San Diego, Calif., worked at the Fremont Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev., and lived many years in Maxbass where she raised her sons and worked as a clerk at Twites Jack and Jill. She worked closely with her sister-in-law, Marion Mettler, in a restaurant in Rugby and on a Maxbass farm. She also painted and wallpapered many houses with her sister-in-law, Muriel Brandt.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Floyd; and brothers, John and Charles.
Delores is survived by: her sons, Craig (Marlene) and Brian (Sandra); three grandchildren, Floyd (Mandy), Ruth and Wyatt; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Glen.
Funeral service: Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Graveside service: Thursday, Jan. 16, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
