Cheri Norwalt, Minot
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bill Wallace for helping and saving my trailer. There is a drainage issue in my backyard from the home that was built behind my rental property in 2009 which caused my trailer to shift off the foundation by 8 inches along with electrical, water, water heater, interior and exterior damage. The City of Minot has been aware of this issue as of 2011 but nothing has been resolved.
Had we waited any longer I believe I could have lost my trailer. Bill took initiative and worked on my trailer temporarily fixing most of the problems which I believe will arise again in the summer when the water builds up. This included fixing interior flooring and walls, pipes, painting and placing more than 400 of the 3,000 sand bags that are needed in the backyard. Due to the weather, this job has been put on hold.
There is still lots that needs to be that is going to be out of my financial budget and I appreciate all the help that I can get. I have been disabled since 2000 due to my job at Minot Air Force Base and trying to fix these issues on my own has been a financial strain and has caused me lots of stress and anxiety. I am willing to do whatever is needed in order to get help from the community.
