DEVILS LAKE (AP) - U.S. Sen. John Hoeven says a new Veterans Affairs clinic in Devils Lake is on track to open in the spring.
The North Dakota Republican says the third floor of Mercy Hospital is being prepared for construction. The federal government in September awarded the hospital the contract to house the clinic.
Hoeven says the effort to get a VA clinic in Devils Lake has taken 10 years. He says it means veterans in the region will no longer have to commute to the VA hospital in Fargo.
