Eleanor Ehlke, 71, Minot, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, in a Minot medical center.

Eleanor Joyce Ehlke was born Dec. 26, 1941, in Minot, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Frye) Stebleton. She was reared and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1960. Following graduation she was employed by St. Joseph's Hospital in the lab department as a histologist. After leaving St. Joseph's she provided home day care for several years. In 1988, she began work at Trinity Health in the dietary department and worked there until she retired due to health reasons.

On May 10, 1963, Eleanor was united in marriage to Wesley Ehlke. Together they raised two children, Brenda Jo and Bryan David.

Eleanor enjoyed going to the casinos, birdwatching, flowers, spending time with the grandchildren, making divinity with her granddaughter, and loved the holidays and baking and cooking for others. She also loved spending time outside on her deck in the summer months with friends and family. Her newest found interest was Pinterest.

Eleanor is survived by: her husband, Wesley Ehlke, Minot; son, Bryan David (Shelli) Ehlke, Minot; daughter, Brenda Jo (Terry) Just, Minot; three grandchildren, Amber (Branden) Stephenson, Kyler Just, and SaRaya Ehlke; three great-grandchildren, Kambrya, Kaydence and Tayven; brothers, Darrell (Judy) Stebleton, Minot, Larry Stebleton, Minot, Warren Stebleton, Surrey, Arnie (Ida) Stebleton, Bismarck, Curtis (Cindy) Stebleton, Lakeville, Minn., and Jeffrey (Lori) Stebleton, Minot; sisters, Judy (Erwin) Fetzer, Surrey, Maxine Henderson, Minot, Lois (Dale) Falb, of Warren, Ohio, and Shelli Stebleton, Dallas; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janice Jacobson.

Funeral: Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at 3 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Thursday, Dec. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
