GRAND FORKS (AP) - A Japanese television drama that was filmed on location at the University of North Dakota aviation school and other spots on campus is slated to premiere this week.
UND officials say the film crew chose the school's aerospace program as the subject of three episodes for the show titled "Miss Pilot." The story follows the lives of six students going through the flight training program at UND in pursuit of their pilot licenses.
Scenes were filmed at the Grand Forks International Airport terminal, UND flight operations, Ralph Engelstad Arena, several buildings on campus, a fraternity house, the Toasted Frog restaurant and the Canad Inn.
Several UND students were chosen as extras in the show.
