Wyoming man dies in accident
WILLISTON An unidentified 59-year-old Casper, Wyo. man died shortly after 1 a.m. Friday in a single-vehicle accident on North Dakota Highway 1804, about three miles east of Williston, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The man, who was alone, was traveling east on the highway from Williston in a 2011 Chevrolet pickup at an unknown rate of speed. The vehicle entered the south ditch and began to overturn before vaulting over an intersecting road, striking a traffic sign and mailboxes and then landing on the passenger side in a field.
The man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Holiday Train coming to Minot
The annual Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train, which collects food and other items for needy families, will be stopping at the Main Street railroad crossing in Minot at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 18.
Other stops in the area will be on the same day.
The train will be stopping at the Canadian Pacific Depot at 600 Lincoln Ave. in Harvey at 4:30 p.m. and at the Main Street railroad crossing in Carpio at 9:15 p.m.
