Lorraine Schneider, 76, Minot, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at a Minot hospital.
Lorraine was born Feb. 6, 1937, the daughter of Earnest and Hulda (Straub) Rokusek, on the family farm northeast of Mott. She attended country school and graduated from Mott High School in May 1955.
Lorraine was united in marriage to Earl Schneider on June 23, 1955. The couple had two children, Ronda and Randy. Lorraine worked at Johnson Jewelry for 17 years and also drove school bus in Mott. Earl was transferred to Minot in 1984, where Lorraine worked at the Panhandler for seven years.
Lorraine loved taking care of her yard and home. She also enjoyed embroidering, counted cross-stitch, crocheting, reading and traveling. The couple wintered in Arizona.
She is survived by: her husband, Earl; daughter, Ronda (Clyde) Rath; and their children, Ryan and Lauren; son, Randy Schneider; sisters, Elaine (Vernon) Lemke and Laura Barnowski; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leonard and Millard; and sisters, Alice and Loretta.
Funeral service: Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.
Burial: Thursday, Oct. 3, at 3 p.m., at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan.
Visitation: Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church.
