The City of Minot has released the status of road projects in the city that will be continuing this week.
Sixth Street Underpass Project: The entrance on the south side of City Hall is now closed as work progresses up the hill on Sixth Street South. All employees and visitors to City Hall and the police station need to use the entrances on Second Avenue. Also, the detour remains in effect. Second Avenue will continue to be closed to through traffic in sections. The original detour route continues to be temporarily modified to reflect the construction at the 16th Street and Burdick Expressway intersection. Upon its reopening, the intersection of 37th Avenue and 13th Street will close. The intersection of 34th Avenue with 13th Street is and will remain accessible in the upcoming weeks. The project is behind schedule.

The sheer volume of work has pushed the project throughout the construction season.

West Burdick: Expect interim lane closures and delays in the area in the upcoming weeks.
Street improvements (annual project): Numerous areas were planned for this construction season from mill and overlays to chip seal districts. The sheer volume of work pushed the project throughout the construction season.
