TRANSIT MEETINGS SCHEDULED The city has scheduled open houses to gather public feedback on improving Minot's transit service, and we encourage anyone who uses the system to attend one of the meetings. Project planners and city representatives will discuss the plan and take comments at meetings scheduled Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Minot State University Student Center and Thursday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in Dakota Square Mall. Issues to be explained and discussed include expanding service hours into the evening, adding weekend service, improving marketing and improving integration with other modes of transportations, including pedestrian and bike connections. There will also be discussion of short- and long-term priorities. Again, if you use the public transit system in Minot, it's important that you attend one of these meetings to make your opinions known.
