Organizers for the upcoming "66K Since Roe v. Wade" flag demonstration event have made some changes regarding its schedule.
Sixty-six thousand blue and pink utility flags will be set out in bunches around Minot for a week's time, calling attention to the estimated number of abortions administered in North Dakota since the procedures were ruled constitutionally protected by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1973.
Participants will now meet at First Assembly of God, 1805-2nd St. SE, at 6 p.m. on Sept. 25 for the closing ceremony and flag pick-up. That represents a change in date and location for the closing event.
