Agnes M. Schell, 95, Granville, formerly of Upham, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, in a Minot hospital.
Agnes was born on Jan. 25, 1918, in Towner, the daughter of Samuel and Inga Sampson. She was reared in Upham and attended Deep River School. On Jan. 28, 1939, she was united in marriage to William "Bill" Schell. The couple made their home near Upham, where they farmed and raised five children. In the late '70s the family moved to Granville, where Agnes continued to live until her death.
Survivors: son, Bill Schell; daughters, Darlene (Loy) Moen and Ilene Haegele; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Schell and Jean (Earling) Johnson; and brother, Harold Kutt.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; daughter, Betty Reese; son, Earl Schell, brothers, Chub Sampson and Sam Sampson; and sister, Annie Otto.
Memorial service: Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. First Lutheran Church, Granville.
Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Private interment: Little Deep Cemetery, rural Upham.
