Delores Trulson, 82, of Stanley, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, in a Stanley nursing home. Her funeral service will be Monday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m., at American Lutheran Church, Stanley. Visitation is Sunday, Sept. 8, from 1 to 5 p.m., at Springan Funeral Home, Stanley. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Stanley.
Delores was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Robinhood, Saskatchewan, to Emory and Alice (Hanson) Hovda. She was raised in Parshall, and graduated from Parshall High School.
Delores married Vern Trulson on March 21, 1952, in Minot. They made their home in Stanley, where they raised their four children. Delores worked in sales, as a lunch room aide at the Stanley schools and also helped Vern with family farm duties. Vern died in July 2004. Delores moved to Centennial Court in Stanley and later into Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley.
She loved her friends at Centennial Court, where she enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. Delores was well known for her fun sense of humor. She loved visits from family and friends and that meant so much to her.
Delores is survived by: her children, Roger (Julie) Trulson, Fargo, Vicki (Roy) Neer, Williston, Lori (Al) Halvorson, Minot, and Brad (Olga) Trulson, of Chandler, Ariz.; grandchildren, Amber (Carlos) Bercerra, Joshua (Kay) Halvorson, Raleigh (Rose Thompson) Trulson, Sommer (Brandon) Mosser, Matt (Jessica) Neer and Sydney Trulson; great-grandchildren, Dillon and Cayden Bercerra, Tate Mosser and Adalynn Neer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vern; great-grandson, Caleb Neer; brothers, Clayton and Larry; and sister, Arlene.
