Regarding your editorial in the Aug. 9 edition of The Minot Daily News about possible legal action with the Ward County Historical Society on the fairgrounds, I hope it doesn't come to that.
Two years ago the greatest flood in my lifetime happened in Minot and the Mouse River Valley. Minot is going through a great period of property with the Bakken oil boom to the west. The flood problem in the valley will not be solved for 10 to 20 years (maybe).
To the Minot Visitors and Convention Bureau a new center would be a sign of progress but if you want to use common sense it should be built out of the flood plain and leave the Ward County Historical Society where they are.
