Minot High School-Magic City Campus students Brianna Berglof, Amanda Kraft, Briana Rogers and Taylor Gallagher won awards at the national Family Career Community Leaders of America conference in Nashville, Tenn., July 7-11.
Kraft, Rogers and Berglof won a silver medal in the culinary arts category. The girls were responsible for making spinach salad, mustard vinaigrette, chicken supreme, rice pilaf and sauce supreme in one hour following a culinary test.
Gallagher received a silver medal in the occupational job interview category. She applied for a job with a completed portfolio as a pastry assistant. Letters of recommendation, writing examples, job applications and in-depth information on her skills and experiences were examined before interviewing for the job.

Minot representatives judged and assisted with several of the national competitions. Kim Kraft judged the Chapter Showcase manual; Kris Shipley judged in nutrition and wellness; Logan Shipley judged in occupational food innovations; Annika Kraft judged in career investigation; and Mary-Beth Gross was room monitor for food innovations.
