Minot Daily News
A Minot State University business instructor was recently given a regional honor and will now be eligible for a national award for excellence in teaching.
Jan Repnow was named the Postsecondary Business Teacher of the Year at the annual Mountain-Plains Business Education Conference, held in June in Omaha, Neb.
The award is presented annually to “a postsecondary business teacher who has made significant contributions to the field of business education by implementing creative and innovative ideas in the classroom, by involvement in department or school activities, and by participation in professional organizations,” according to a press release.
The Mountain-Plains region represents business educators from nine states, as well as Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Repnow now qualifies to compete for the national-level award, to be presented in April 2014 in Los Angeles.
