Michael J. Cook, 63, Minot, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, in a Grand Forks hospital.
Michael was born on Aug. 5, 1949, in Minot, a son of Robert and Rose (Bohn) Cook. He was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Bishop Ryan High School. He held various maintenance positions throughout his life.
Michael was a veteran of the Navy and loved fishing.
Michael is survived by: his sisters and brothers, Connie (Chuck) Shaw, of Merrit Island, Fla., Kathy (John) Warberg, of Loon Lake, Chuck (Julie) Cook, of Albuquerque, N.M., Becky Zahn. of Phoenix, John (Barb) Cook, of Williston, Mary (Rick) Rauschenberger, of Minot, Cindy (Dave) Romine, of Bismarck, Bernadette Cook and Lisa Cook, both of Phoenix; his stepmother, Veronica Cook, of Minot; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials: Are preferred to Bishop Ryan Catholic School, the 2nd Story of Minot, or to the Little Flower Catholic Church Capital Campaign, all Minot.
Funeral: Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Vigil prayer service: Monday, July 22, at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation: Monday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
