Marie Johannson, 99, Minot, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services in Minot.

Marie Cecelia Lee was born on March 23, 1914, a daughter of the Rev. Aslack and Clara (Gunderson) Lee in Palermo. In 1928, the family moved to Minot, where Marie graduated from Minot Model High School. She furthered her education by attending Minot State Business College.

Marie was united in marriage to Carl Langseth. They made their home in Minot. He passed away in 1948. She later married Gisli "Joe" Johannson. They made their home in Minot, where Marie worked for Equitable Life Insurance Company until her retirement. Gisli passed away in 1973. Following his death, she continued to live in Minot.

Marie was a resident of Somerset Court for six years. She made many friends there, even being crowned "The Queen of Somerset." To many close family, she was simply "Antie Ree." To everyone who knew and loved her she will always be remembered for her unending faith in God, her warmth and friendly smile, her loving heart and generous spirit and an indelible laugh that was only hers.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot, and the Zion Dorcas Circle.

Those who shared in her life: nieces and nephews, Lisa (Roger) Cole, Tom Lee, Todd (Kim) Lee, Sue (Stan) Gibbs; sisters-in-law, Beverlee Lee, Pauline Lee and Donna Lee; special friend, Lila Tollefson, who visited weekly; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Marie was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands; and brothers and their spouses, Gunder (Jakie), Iver (Lucille), Selmer, Harold, Arthur and George Lee; sister, Thona Strong and her husband Lowell; a close dear friend, Dorothy Anderson; a nephew, Robert Lee; and niece, Lana Nordin.

Memorial service: Wednesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.

Burial: A private burial will take place at a later time.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however friends may sign a guest book on Wednesday, June 26, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials are preferred to the Zion Building Fund and the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch.
