Michael Foley, 54, Minot, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, in his home.

Michael Dean Foley was born on April 24, 1959, a son of Michael and Joyce (Kubler) Foley, in Minot. He was raised and educated in Minot, attending Minot Public Schools.

On July 17, 1998, Michael was united in marriage to Sandy Sanders. They made their home in Minot, where Michael worked for Bacon Signs, and R & M Woodworking as a finish carpenter.

Michael loved music, and was a drummer and lead singer in several area bands, including Four Way Stop, Ravon, and Thief River Band. Michael was also active with the Insomniacs in Washington state and Exhibit A, while living in Illinois. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed playing Bingo.

Michael was a kind, loving man who lived life to the fullest. In 2000, he donated one of his kidneys to his brother, Brian. He will be remembered for his practical jokes, the way he could make conversation, and his mischievous manner.

Michael is survived by: Wife, Sandy, Minot: stepson Justin (Kari) Sanders, St. Cloud, Minn., and their children, Gaven, Zoe, Briana and Caleb; brothers, Tim (Lisa) Foley, Surrey, Steven Foley, Kalispell, Mont.; nieces and nephews, Kayla, Jayden, Skylar, Kierra, Alex, Connor and Keenan; mother, Joyce Cline, Minot, grandmother, Violet Kubler, Minot; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Foley; brother, Brian L. Foley; grandfather, Marvin Kubler; father-in-law, Harley Jolliffe; and an uncle, Rodney Kubler.

Funeral service: Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Friday, May 3, from 1 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
