A Minot man was arrested Sunday and charged with attempted homicide, according to a press release issued by the Minot Police Department.
Timothy N. Ngunjiri, 41, Minot, was arrested following a 911 call to Minot Central Dispatch at about 9:37 a.m. requesting that officers respond to a northwest Minot address. At the address, police found a 28-year-old Minot woman who had been assaulted. Her injuries forced an ambulance transport to Trinity Hospital, in Minot.
Ngunjiri was also charged with driving under the influence and a felony charge for fleeing police following what the police describe as a short pursuit after his vehicle was spotted in downtown Minot.
Upon his arrest, which was described as being without incident, Ngunjiri was also transported to Trinity to have his blood drawn for a chemical evaluation. Further information was not forthcoming Sunday.
