Donna Faye (Rutter) Shekleton, 70, of Nashua, N.H., formerly of Turtle Lake, N.D., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 17, 2013.
She was born Aug. 27, 1942, to the late William and Irma (Thompson) Rutter. She graduated from Turtle Lake High School and attended two years at Minot State College.
Donna is survived by: her husband of 46 years, John M. Shekleton; her son, Gaylin P. Shekleton, of Manchester, N.H.; her son and daughter-in-law, Justin A. and Michelle L. (Mula) Shekleton, of Hudson, Mass.; and daughter and son-in-law, Caralee A. and Richard Elson, of Mount Vision, N.Y. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Myron McCarty, of New Hope, Minn.; and by her sister, Ione Wilkening, of Sigourney, Iowa. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was eagerly awaiting the birth of her first grandchild, a girl.
She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Terry Wilkening.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, her church has set up a special memorial fund in her name that will be used to continue supporting ministries in Africa so she can continue her legacy of bringing blessing and joy to those whom she loved and supported. Memorial service: Will be held Wednesday, March 27, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. The church is located at 3 Lund Road in Nashua.
