Kaye Voeller

On March 8, 2013, a dear wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Catherine "Kaye" Cuff Voeller, departed this life for her eternal rest. She lived in San Antonio, Texas, and was formerly of Minot.

Kaye was born in Gary, Ind., on Dec. 28, 1928, to Dr. Matthew Cuff and Grace (Olson) Cuff. She attended the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minn. On Dec. 28, 1948, Kaye married the love of her life, Fred Voeller, at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Minot.

If asked, Kaye would say that her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her six children. She was greatly loved in life and will be missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by: her husband of 64 years, Fred Voeller; five of her six children, Vicki A. Mading (Mark), Billings, Mont.; Dr. Paul F. Voeller (Susan), Astoria, Ore.; James N. Voeller (Amy), San Antonio, Texas; Karl J. Voeller (Fransisca), New York, N.Y; Jane M. Mayer (Hugh), Minot; 28 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, Terry L. Voeller, Minot.

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Noel Cuff; her oldest son, Douglas M. Voeller; and her infant daughter, Mary.

Kaye was active in Minot Catholic Churches and Schools. She was involved in the League of Women Voters and other civic activities. After living in Minot for over 30 years, Kaye and her husband retired to the Florida Keys, then Naples, Fla., and finally San Antonio in 2006. Kaye was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in San Antonio.

A memorial service celebrating Kaye's life: Will be held in the Chapel at Franklin Park, San Antonio, on Thursday, March 21, at 10 a.m. Another memorial service will be held in Minot June 22.
