Dolores ‘Dodie’ June (Stromme) Taylor

Jan. 13, 1929-Feb. 5, 2013

Minot Daily News

My wife, our mother and grandmother left this world wrapped in the arms of our Lord, surrounded by the family she loved. Dolores "Dodie" Taylor passed away at home in Spokane, Wash., after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was formerly of the Minot area.

Home, family and friends were her greatest pleasures. She had the unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and part of her family. She loved everyone unconditionally, no matter where they were in life. She always prepared wonderful meals, making her home the place everyone wanted to be. When she was younger, she loved to square dance, play games and sing with the Sweet Adelines. Dodie was a devoted mother and grandmother and was especially proud to be a great-grandmother.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Spokane for the wonderful care they gave to mom.

Dodie is survived by: her husband of 65 years, Bill; as well as her five children, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren (one more on the way); her brother, Lewis Stromme, Minot; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian (Norbye) Stromme and Herman Stromme; and her brother, Darell Stromme.

Rest in peace Mom.

A celebration of her life is being planned for May 5, 2013.

Riplinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Spokane, is entrusted with arrangements.
