POTLUCK DINNER AND SILENT AUCTION TO RAISE FUNDS FOR BUTTE MAN A potluck dinner and silent auction benefit for Shawn Verbitsky, of Butte, will be held March 10 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Butte Legion Hall.
The benefit is to help with medical expenses. Supplemental funds have been requested from the McLean County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
Donations may also be sent to Shawn Verbitsky Benefit, in care of Lena Volochenko, 1919-4th Ave. NW, Butte, ND 58723.
GOOD NEWS CLUB TO MEET WEDNESDAYS The Good News Club at Lincoln Elementary will meet after school on Wednesdays from 3 to 4:15 p.m., starting on March 6. The club will meet in the Fireplace Room in First Presbyterian Church, 1000-3rd St. NE.
At each Good News Club, children hear stories, sing fun songs, learn memory verses from the Bible and play challenging games. Each session also includes a presentation of the Gospel.

DATE SET FOR ROAST BEEF DINNER IN MINOT CHURCH Our Lady of Grace Knights of Columbus Council 4894, assisted by parish youth, will prepare and serve a roast beef dinner on March 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the lower level of Our Lady of Grace Church at 707-16th Ave. SW.
The cost will be $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12. Youth age 3 and under will not be charged.
Take-home meals will be available.
DATES SET FOR SPRING REVIVAL AT NORTH HILL BAPTIST CHURCH Adam Mallette, of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, will be the guest revival preacher for the 2013 Spring Revival at North Hill Baptist Church, 524-21st Ave. NW. He will be speaking March 10 at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and March 11 to 13 at 6:30 p.m.
Mallette served in the Marines from 2002 to 2012. His deployments included Japan, Iraq and Afghanistan. He is currently pursuing a master's of divinity degree.
