BOTTINEAU - The Minot High School boys hockey team kept most on Bottineau's team in check, but Harrison Aide's four goals and one assist proved the difference in the Braves' 5-4 win on Monday in Bottineau.
Aide assisted on a first-period goal before going on a scoring rampage in the latter two frames. Aide scored twice in each and all of his goals were unassisted.
"We didn't do a good job of shutting him down," Minot coach Chad Burckhard said. "That's just a lesson to be learned that if you don't show up to play it's going to be a long night."
Minot (9-5-1 overall, 7-3 West Region) travels to Mandan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
