SYKESTON Alvina Hammes, 90, Underwood, formerly of Sykeston, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, in a Bismarck hospital.
She was born Sept. 6, 1922, to Christian and Mathilda Neumiller, near Heaton. She married John Hammes on Nov. 29, 1945, in Sykeston.
Survivors: sons, Larry, Port St. Lucie, Fla., Rodney, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Gary, Fargo, Thomas, Colorado Springs, Colo., Steven, Underwood, Neal, Monument, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Friday, 10:30 a.m., St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Sykeston.
Burial: St. Elizabeth's Catholic Cemetery, Sykeston.
Visitation: Today, 2 to 8 p.m., in Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.
