Amelia "Mimi" Gienger Huff, 92, Kenmare, formerly of Donnybrook, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in a Minot healthcare facility.
Amelia "Mimi" Gienger, the daughter of David and Karolina (Dockter) Gienger, was born on Feb. 24, 1920, at Funston. She received her education at Roosevelt School #2 in Funston.
On Oct. 19, 1952, she married Dayton Huff, of Donnybrook, at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Anamoose.They farmed and ranched near Donnybrook until retiring in 1990. Dayton passed away, Feb. 24, 2010.
Mimi enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She and Dayton spent many winters in Mesa, Ariz. The summer of 1993 found them traveling the Alaskan Highway. She loved having the grandkids come and later the great-grandkids. They all had a special place in her heart. She was someone who always had a moment to listen, share a tear with or a good laugh.
Mimi will be missed by all of us who knew and loved her.

Mimi was preceded in death by her husband, Dayton; her parents; brother, Christian; sisters, Kathryn (in infancy), Magdalina and her husband Ted Marschel; brother, Ludwig and wife, Mary, brothers-in-law, Waldemar Giese, Paul Kessler, Warren Paulson, Guy Huff, Ralph Huff; and sisters-in-law, Jeanne Kaufer and Deloris Gienger.
Funeral: Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, 2 p.m., at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot.
Visitation: Sunday, Jan. 13, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, and Monday, one hour prior to the service, in the church.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
