Marian E. Jessen, 79, Washburn, formerly of Minot, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in her home.
Marian Elina Samuelson was born Aug. 3, 1933, a daughter of Everett and Elma (Niemela) Samuelson in Sebeka, Minn.
Marian was united in marriage to Donald Jessen on Oct. 13, 1951.
Marian is survived by: her six children, Donald (Marcia) Jessen, Minot, Susan Sjaastad, Washburn, Kevin Jessen, Des Lacs, Warren (Kerry) Jessen, Two Harbors, Minn., Bruce Jessen, Washburn, and Bradley Jessen, Washburn; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren: four sisters and one brother.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and one sister.
Funeral service: Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at 10 a.m., in Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot.
Burial: Will take place in the spring at Rolling Green Cemetery, Des Lacs.
Visitation: At Marian's request there will be no reviewal, however, friends may sign a guest book today, Jan. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
