VALLEY CITY (AP) - A standoff in Valley City involving authorities and an armed, suicidal man ended peacefully.
Police say the man holed up in a residence for nearly six hours on New Year's Day before leaving the home on his own and being arrested. Charges are pending.
City police and an area SWAT team responded to the incident that began about 2 a.m. Tuesday. No one was hurt.
