MSU requests help finding uniforms
The Minot State University women's basketball team has been missing its new game uniforms since returning from a Minnesota road trip on Dec. 15.
MSU coach Sheila Green Gerding said two sets of uniforms in a white mesh bag were left outside the MSU Dome, but have gone missing.
She asks that anyone with information about the uniforms call the athletic department at 858-3041. She also said anyone with access to the jerseys can leave them inside the door of the dome, no questions asked.
The Beavers (5-3 overall, 2-3 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) are preparing to play a home nonconference game against Brandon University (Manitoba) at 3 p.m. Sunday.
"For us it's just a way for us to gear back and get ready for conference play," Green Gerding said. "Get back into game shape a little bit before our next road trip."
Brandon is 0-10 on the season, but has won five exhibition games against two-year colleges.

Minot tops Minnesota hockey team
ROSEAU, Minn. - Matt Flom scored two goals, Quinn Fuchs tallied four assists and the Minot High School boys hockey team beat Lake of the Woods (Minn.) 4-1 Friday.
The Magicians (6-3), who play for fifth place in the tournament at 10:30 a.m. today, once again sent several pucks at the opposing goaltender. While Coon Rapids (Minn.) goalie Zack St. John stopped 42 saves in Minot's 1-0 defeat Thursday, Lake of the Woods's Cody Nelson wasn't quite as fortunate.
Flom scored a first-period goal. Daylen Benjamin followed with a score in the second. In the third, Fuchs collected his third and fourth assists, the last on Flom's second goal.
"They found success by just getting pucks to the net," Minot coach Chad Burckhard said. "They're our leaders and guys we count on to get it done. Fortunately, today they did for us."
