Hazen tops Bishop Ryan
HAZEN - Stetson Carr scored 22 points and Austin Cieslak added 20 as Hazen beat Bishop Ryan 66-53 on Friday night.
The Bison shot 50 percent from the floor and outscored the Lions in each quarter.
Jake Magnuson and Austin Eggl scored 14 and 11 points, respectively, to lead Ryan (4-2). Carr tallied a double-double with a game-high 10 rebounds, and Hazen's Kyle Lindquist chipped in 12 points.
The Lions play second-ranked Beulah at home on Dec. 28 and Hazen plays at Garrison tonight at 6.

Velva edges ORCS at Sawyer Invite
SAWYER - Cassidy Peterson scored 20 points for Velva on Friday to help the Aggies hold off Our Redeemer's Christian School, 45-39, and win the Sawyer Invite.
Velva's Jaylen Newman chipped in 15 points and tournament most valuable player Emma Keller had four.
The Knights were led by senior Emily VanLith's 15 points and Ashley Koppinger, Jennifer Skees and Billie Bangen scored six apiece.
Des Lacs-Burlington beat Rolette-Wolford 45-37 to claim third place.

Tauros win in shootout
BROOKINGS, S.D. - Minot Minotauros goaltender Tyler Parks continued his dominant performance in shootouts Friday, stopping all four shots by Brookings to lift the Tauros to a 4-3 shootout victory.
Cameron Rowat scored for Minot on the opening attempt of the shootout and Scott Dornbrock clinched the victory by beating Blizzard goalie Drew Weigman on the Tauros' fourth try.
Brookings led 2-0 after the second period, but Minot (15-13-2) scored three of the four goals in the final regulation stanza to force overtime.
Jake O'Borsky scored twice for the Tauros, including a goal 13 minutes, 57 seconds into the third period to knot the score at 3-3.
Parks finished with 34 saves.
The Tauros host Brookings at 7:35 p.m. on Dec. 28 at Maysa Arena.

Stewart leads Lions' rout of Titans
DICKINSON - Bishop Ryan sophomore forward Hannah Stewart dropped 30 points on Dickinson Trinity to lead the Lions to a 69-24 victory Friday.
Stewart also added 10 rebounds for the top-ranked Lions, who beat the Titans 44-33 on the glass.
Ryan led 21-4 after the first quarter and 57-11 after three. Sophomore Gabbie Bohl added 12 for the Lions and junior guard Anika Rovig had 11.
Dickinson Trinity was paced by Katelyn Grinsteinner's nine points.
