Rickie Arlin Johnson, 58, of Minot, formerly of Bottineau, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, in a Minot hospital.
Rickie, a son of Lloyd and Mabel (Sather) Johnson, was born Dec. 16, 1954, at Bottineau. He was reared and educated in Bottineau, graduating in 1973 from Bottineau High School. Rickie attended the Bottineau School of Forestry and received an associate of science degree. He then attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. In 1976 he was injured in a work-related accident. He lived with his parents until 1994 when he moved into Trinity Nursing Home in Minot where he has since resided.
He enjoyed all sports and outdoor activities.
He is survived by his father, Lloyd Johnson, of Bottineau; brothers, Ronald (Carla) Johnson and Scott (Nora) Johnson, both of Bottineau, and Kenny (Toni Schwartz) Johnson, of Minot; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, at 2 p.m., in First Lutheran Church, Bottineau.
Burial will be in Oak Creek Cemetery, Bottineau.
Visitation: Today, Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday from 9 to noon, in Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau.
