Minot State women crushed by Crookston
CROOKSTON, Minn. - The Minot State University women's basketball team fell behind early and was never able to recover in a 66-46 loss to Minnesota, Crookston on Friday.
The Golden Eagles outscored the Beavers 41-15 in the first 20 minutes, thanks in part to MSU's shooting woes (4-of-24).
"We didn't show up to play tonight," MSU coach Sheila Green Gerding said. "Our starting five were completely without focus and effort in the first half. We didn't execute and we didn't make shots and we didn't defend."
Francesca DeAngelis was the only Beaver in double-digits. She scored 13.
The Beavers (4-2 overall, 2-2 NSIC) travel to Bemidji State at 4 p.m. today.
