Barbara Ann Johnson, 51, Glenburn, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, in a Minot hospital.

Barbara Ann Griffeth was born on Jan. 6, 1961, a daughter of Wayne and Catherine Griffeth, in Fort Fairfield, Maine. She was raised and educated in Limestone and Caribou, Maine.

On March 6, 1980, Barbara enlisted in the Air Force, in Boston. She proudly served her country in the Aero Ground and Space Equipment Program. She medically retired on June 11, 1996, at Minot Air Force Base.

Barbara was united in marriage to Stephen A. Johnson on April 6, 1987, in Mountain Home, Idaho.

She furthered her education by attending Minot State University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in professional accountancy. Barbara was a very hard worker, and enjoyed working as business manager for Magic City International Dragway, as a bookkeeper for Hovde Insurance and as a purchasing agent for Minot State University.

She was active as a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout leader and was a Boy Scout leader. She was also a member of the Flying Lions Club of Ruthville. Barbara also enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, camping and spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by: Husband of 25 years, Stephen A. Johnson; children, Rebecca (fiance Jon) Johnson, Jamie Jackson and Judson Johnson; parents, Catherine and Wayne Griffeth Sr.; brother-in-law, Bruce (Sheila) Johnson; nieces and nephews, Marcela, Conner, Kimberly and Thomas III; and puppies, Porsche and Mercedes.

Celebration of Life: Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, 11 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, Glenburn.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, people may sign a guest book on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, at the church.

Burial: A private family committal service will take place.
