Eileen (McKay) Tyo, 85, of Sumner, Wash., formerly of Rolla, N.D., passed away on Nov. 27, 2012, in her home.
As a young lady she ventured away from her hometown of Rolla, taking on a career in Civil Service, eventually retiring from General Services Administration in 1987. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, bingo enthusiast, gardener and pie baker extraordinaire. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Steve.
She is survived by: two sons, Douglas, of San Antonio, Texas, and Darren, of Seattle, along with grandson, Stephen, and granddaughter, Summer, of San Antonio, and sister, Margaret Marquardt of Eugene, Ore.
Viewing took place Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home at 320 W. Pioneer, Puyallup Wash.
Services: Will be held today, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. at Sumner Cemetery at 12324 Valley Ave East, Puyallup, Wash.
Memorials: May be made to the American Cancer Society or to any hospice organization.
