Regina Clark, 86, of Stanley, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, in a Stanley nursing home.

Regina Ann (Kuster) Clark was born June 16, 1926, to Louis and Nora (Vadness) Kuster, near Stanley. She was raised on the Kuster farm northwest of Stanley. Regina attended high school in Stanley, where she was actively involved in band, choir and glee club. After high school, she attended Minot State, where she earned her teaching certificate. She taught grades 1-8 in a country school prior to marrying Francis.

Regina married Francis Joseph Clark at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Stanley on June 19, 1946. They farmed in the Plaza area, where they raised seven children. While in Plaza, Regina was active in the Homemakers Club, Sacred Heart Ladies Aid, and Plaza School PTA.

In the summer of 1970, Francis, Regina and family moved to a farm southwest of Stanley. They resided there until 1978, when they moved into Stanley. Regina started employment at the Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley in the spring of 1977 and continued working until retiring at the age of 79. She resided at the Wilson Apartments until Sept. 29, 2012, when she was transferred to the Mountrail Bethel Home.

Regina loved spending time with family, gardening, reading, music and visiting with close friends.

Regina is survived by: her children, Clarine Sandstrom, Minot, Janene (Harlan) Lee, Makoti, Michael (Cheryl) Clark, Rapid City, S.D., Jerome (Cindy) Clark, Minot, James (Dianne) Clark, of Stanley, Kathryn (Randy) Mackey, Minot, and Deann (Bob) Bergan, West Fargo; grandchildren, Barb Sandstrom, Debby (JC) Moen, Laura (Garrett) Lien, Nicholas (Nicole) Clark, Cody (Jessica) Clark, Teresa (Mike) King, Paul (Sara) Lee, Travis Clark, Shannon Clark, Jessie Clark, Scott (Julie) Clark, Timothy (Ginney) Clark, Amanda Clark, April Hemstad, Michelle Hemstad, Nancy (Regan) Graham, Allan (Deborah) Hemstad, Anthony Bergan and Cassandra Bergan; great-grandchildren, Letty Mae Thompson, Alaynee Moen, Vivian Thompson, Madison Moen, Piper Lien, Alexander King, Gavin King, Tana Lee, Tegan Lee, America Clark, Kaleigh Clark, Corben Clark, Ethan Clark, Titus Clark, Arya Clark, Leif Clark, Abel Clark, Ella Boyle, Graci Graham, Jaksyn Graham, Averi Graham, Kenli Graham, Lawsyn Graham, Caysen Hemstad, Keegan Hemstad and Cole Hemstad; and brother, Merrill Kuster, of Stanley.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; five sisters and one brother; son-in-law, Don Sandstrom; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gertrude and Harry Clark; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Loretta and Armond Wittmayer.

Her funeral will be Friday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Stanley.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Stanley.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Springan Funeral Home, Stanley.
