Minot State University junior forward Carly Boag was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference player of the week in the wake of her career-high 31-point performance in MSU's 74-73 victory against the University of Mary on Saturday.
Boag knocked down 12-of-16 shots from the field, including her first career 3-pointer, and went 6-of-7 from the foul line in 25 minutes of action. She added four rebounds, three steals, a block and the game-winning assist to freshman Savana Kingsbury with 25.9 seconds remaining.
MSU (3-0 overall, 1-0 NSIC) hosts Minnesota State-Moorhead on Friday and Northern State (S.D.) on Saturday.
