Don’t expect much change

November 25, 2012

Certain ideological elements continue to highlight the fact that President Obama failed to fulfill all his so-called promises while already predicting and suggesting that he will fail again.

Records show that he was successful to a certain degree, actually accomplishing more than could be expected with a divided and dysfunctional congress. And it is also a fact that most presidents "promise" more than they can deliver.

On the other hand, Mitch McConnell and company "promised" that they had only one single significant goal to pursue and accomplish, namely to make Barack Obama a one-term president. So they are batting zero against at least an average and everything is better than zero. We should not expect much change during the next four years as rhetoric, insinuations, obstructionism continue through certain outlets and opinion columns with a Fifth Column like philosophy.
