Dickinson tops Minot in wrestling

DICKINSON - The Minot High School wrestling team dropped its first match of the season, 41-30, Tuesday at Dickinson.

MHS coach Nolan Spooner said the defeat came down to not getting extra points and failing to produce at the end of matches.

"We just need to work harder in practice," Spooner said. "We had the opportunity in some matches to win in the final few seconds and we didn't capitalize on those opportunities."

Cody Haugen, Brian Rabe, Kimani Benjamin and Nick Nesdahl all pinned their opponents for the Magicians.

Minot hosts Williston Nov. 29.
