MISSOULA, Mont. - The University of Montana placed four scorers in double figures Wednesday and rolled past Minot State University 82-53 in an exhibition game.
Mathias Ward and Kareem Jamar hit three 3-pointers apiece and scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, to lead the Division I Grizzlies past Division II MSU.
The Beavers (0-2) were led by senior forward Josh Johnson's 23 points and nine rebounds. No other MSU player scored more than six points.
The Grizzlies led 39-29 at halftime, but widened the margin early in the second half.
The Beavers play Northland College (Minn.) at 3 p.m. Sunday at the MSU Dome.
