CHATSWORTH, Calif. Bernard Bachmeier, 93, Canoga Park, Calif., died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, in his home.
He was born June 14, 1919, to John and Margaret Bachmeier, in Drake. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Marie Schiele on Oct. 16, 1944, in Karlsruhe.
Survivors: wife; daughters, Bertha Whitmore, Menifee, Calif., and Sandra Jennings, Las Vegas, Nev.; sons, LeRoy, Henderson, Nev., and Roger, Oak Park, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother, John, Albany, Ore., and Milton, Anamoose; sisters, Rose Murray, in Oklahoma, and Dorothy Hannon, Albany.
